The Gnomes in the Trees

The first of the six planned books in the Jacky Foster Adventures series, The Gnomes in the Trees will be published by mid May, 2016.

At that time there will be a video posted right here that vividly shows what Jacky Foster, a young lad who lives on a farm, experiences on his eighth birthday. An adventure that he will remember forever.

The Gnomes in the Trees picture book is highly suitable for children of all ages. Rich in fantasy, full of magical moments, and brought to life with beautiful illustrations. It will capture the hearts and imaginations of children everywhere.

Jacky Foster and his faithful dog Sparky will transport them into the captivating, wee world of friendly tree-house-living gnomes in the faraway, mythical kingdom of Gnomia.

But is it all just fanciful dreaming, or did his discovery really happen? Only Jacky Foster knows for certain.

All the excitement of adventure and exploration may take place in this far-off world, but for children, its just a turn of a page away.

Here’s what people have been saying about the book:

“Its charming, entertaining, imaginative, and beautifully illustrated. Truly a gem. And the rhyme and meter are perfect.”

– Pamela Cangioli, literary judge and editor

“It’s been a very long time since I’ve read a children’s story written in narrative poetry. It is perfect for children aged four to nine or ten. The illustrations are marvelous. They almost tell the whole story without the words being read. It will be a great addition to children’s book shelves and libraries everywhere.”

 – Alexander Pettit, author and raconteur

“This charming fairytale places young children in a fun place to be, a magical little place with gnome’s, animals, numbers and a special little boy who heads the journey into their imagination. This story held the attention of a small, two-year old child with its beautiful illustrations and wonderful little rhymes.

I enjoyed reading the tale from start to finish. When I finished this book I thought, “I can’t wait to read it again and again” and this is coming from a mother who raised four and who now reads to her grandson. A story time must have.

Sherri Wallace.

The rhyme and meter are a delight to read and should entertain readers of all ages – from parents looking to share a good story before bedtime, to children eager to practice emerging reading skills. The Gnomes in the Trees is both accessible and entertaining, striking that important balance needed in well-told picture books.
